- Wang et. al. (2021) reported injectable shape-memory cardiac patches for the functional repair of cardiac tissue after myocardial infarction. The electrical mapping system was used on the isolated Langendorff-perfused rat hearts after the patches were implanted onto the infarcted hearts for 4 weeks.

- Sun et. al. (2021) demonstrated for the first time that Casq1 is expressed in the heart and regulates the basal heart rates. In addition, it contributes to a malignant hyperthermia/environmental heat stroke-like ventricular tachycardia attributable to the induction of Casq1 depolymerization by triggers, resulting in a diastolic spontaneous Ca2+ transient from the SR and premature heartbeat. The electrical mapping system was used to record the epicardial activation mapping of left ventricular wall.
